PROCEDIN Driving Urban Innovation: “Insights from the Smart City Expo World Congress 2023”

PROCEDIN, the driving force behind innovation in Circular Economy and Green Mobility, attended the Smart City Expo World Congress, the world’s biggest and most influential event for cities and urban innovation. Held in Barcelona since 2011, this congress has been a catalyst for leaders from diverse sectors, governments, and organisations, converging to shape the future of cities. With a mission to unite global urban innovation efforts, the event gathered 25,000+ multi-sectoral attendees from both public and private sectors and a wide range of industries, including representatives from 800+ cities and 140 countries.

Partners from PROCEDIN, GEMEENTE HAARLEM (HAA) and PEDAL CONSULTING SRO (PEDAL), participated at the event representing the project’s objectives. Their presence not only offered valuable insights into PROCEDIN’s mission but also seamlessly aligned with the congress’s objectives — accelerating innovation ecosystems in European cities, fortifying innovation procurement (POI), and fostering growth in Circular Economy and Green Mobility. Participants at the event expressed keen interest in PROCEDIN’s upcoming Legal Framework Training Sessions, focusing on Competitive Dialogue & Pre-Commercial Procurement, and Innovation Partnership as a Legal Instrument within the realm of Public Procurement of Innovation. These sessions are scheduled for November 28th and 29th.

The Smart City Expo World Congress 2023 served as a dynamic platform for PROCEDIN to showcase its dedication to fostering collective urban innovation. As the project continues to make strides in urban innovation, events like these underscore its commitment to collective progress on a global scale.

Stay tuned for more updates as PROCEDIN continues to lead the way in shaping innovative and sustainable urban landscapes!
