On June 5th, the PROCEDIN Project was showcased at the EXPERTISE & PRECIUS Multiplier Event that took place in Helsinki, Finland. The event aimed to gather industry experts and professionals to discuss strategic procurement and it counted with the participation of the PROCEDIN project, represented by Esmee Peters, from the University of Twente.
The main objective of the event organised by EXPERTISE and PRECIUS, two Erasmus+ projects, was to foster discussion on the education and training of purchasers and supply managers, with a special focus on innovation sourcing. The event highlighted the need for sustainability and digital skills, particularly for employees over 50, often referred to as silver workers.
PROCEDIN was presented by Esmee Peters from the University of Twente, the coordinating entity for the project. Here, the project’s resources and community-building efforts were highlighted, leading to a fruitful debate on how can this project help participants, and how can future talent be captivated to public procurement. Attendees were introduced to new methodologies and tools aimed at enhancing procurement processes, emphasizing sustainability and digital transformation. The presentation was also able to demonstrate how these advancements benefit silver workers by improving their skills and enhancing their roles in the workforce.
New insights and valuable connections marked this event as very important for the PROCEDIN project as it provided a platform that favoured learning, networking, and exploring new collaborations. Moreover, many participants expressed their interest in the project’s outputs and manifested their willingness to use the project’s services.
