The University of Twente, and Municipalities of Haarlem and Gabrovo showcased PROCEDIN at the Procura+ 2024 Conference, held in Lisbon Congress Centre on March 13th, underscoring the project’s commitment to advancing sustainable and innovative procurement practices.
The renowned Procura+ Conference series, formerly known as EcoProcura, commemorated its 25th year of fostering procurement practices. Established as an important platform for professionals seeking high quality, cost effective, sustainable, circular and innovative strategies in this field, the conference has evolved into a dynamic hub for exchanging insights and forging valuable networking connections.
This year, the event counted on the presence of 3 of PROCEDIN’s partners: University of Twente represented by Louise Knight; Municipality of Grabovo represented by Todor Popov; and Municipality of Haarlem represented by Valentina Schippers-Opejko. This last partner was responsible for one of the presentations in the event, titled “Breaking barriers using Innovation and Procurement as Strategic Tools”, also hosting 3 round table sessions to promote Haarlem as an innovative city, UA Partnership PP, PROCEDIN, PROTECT and LIFE.
Being a project with a mission to encourage the Procurement of Innovation capability development and accelerate the growth of Circular Economy and Green Mobility innovation ecosystems, PROCEDIN drew the audience’s attention that also got the chance to know the project’s website as well as obtain some information of an important event on this matter that is being prepared by the Innovation Procurement Task Force, a collaborative initiative of which PROCEDIN is a part of, alongside with BUILD, Health InnoFacilitator and InnoBuyer projects, and Urban Agenda for the EU.
