The European Commission is organizing training workshops focused on socially responsible public procurement (SRPP). These workshops are intended for public authorities and social economy entities within EU member states.
Initial events will take place in Belgium, Lithuania, Portugal and Estonia, with sessions conducted in the respective national languages, and this is what participants will learn:
- Civil Servants or Procurers:
- Design tendering procedures that incorporate social considerations and are accessible to the social economy.
- Integrate social considerations throughout the procurement process.
- Understand the social economy more clearly.
- Social Economy Entities (SEE):
- Compete for tenders with social considerations.
- Form consortia with conventional businesses or other social economy entities or become subcontractors.
