Gabrovo Municipality, in collaboration with the Municipal Energy Efficiency Network EcoEnergy and the Center for Energy Efficiency EnEffect, recently organised a highly anticipated discussion forum titled “Mayors Talk”. Held on July 10th and 11th, at the Ritual Hall of the Gabrovo Municipality, this event garnered support from the Gabrovo Regional Information Centre and media partnership with 3e-news. With the central theme of “Innovations for Sustainable Energy,” the forum served as a platform for mayors, communication specialists, polling agencies, journalists, and experts to explore the critical role of local authorities in implementing transformative solutions for sustainable energy.
The first day of the forum focused on exploring the pivotal role of local authorities in fostering and implementing innovative solutions for sustainable energy. Attendees engaged in thought-provoking discussions about effective stakeholder engagement, successful communication strategies, and the potential of innovation to promote energy efficiency and renewable energy within their municipalities.
One of the highlights of the forum was the participation of PROCEDIN in the panel discussion titled “Public procurement: barriers or support integration of innovation in municipal projects”. Led by Valentina Schippers-Opejko, PROCEDIN brought its expertise to the table by delivering a comprehensive training session on the Legal Framework of Market Consultation.
